Bit fan of Ellen D. but NOT as a dance judge. What were you thinking?
A good Suggestion Nigel may want to tell Simon Fuller since Simon Cowell’s Contract on American Idol is up that to get a Comical Judge on the show after Ellen Dengeneeres . Kayla did a good job as far as performance . Dance Solo looked like a Mia Micheals Routine . Tel Mary if you wanna hear a really good train whistle go to wksb 5:00pm Tom Turner blows the Hot Tommoly Whistle with Kiss Cartoons . Central Pennsylvania that is 102.7 Kiss f.m.
I always try not to watch these shows but somehow I get caught up and hooked every week. I also thought MIA(judge) was always bias against Ade and Brandon and I would get a little angry at her comments. I constantly remind myself that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But, after watching the beautifully and touching performance about the cancer victim, I don’t care what anybody says, it was best presentation that I ever seen. I was crying with the judges and will never forget this night. Ellen made the show balance with her wittiness and commanding sense of humor. Once again, that performance was award winning! Hats off to the choreographer and the dancers!! GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!
OMG such HUGE CUDOS to Tyce, and the dancers I have had a battle with cancer and that rutine moved me soo much that i really cant explain, never before has a dance moved me to my very core PLEASE PLEASE KEEP IT GOING and i cant THANK YOU ENOUGH if there are some typeo’s please forgive me BUT AGIN THAT TOUCHED ME
This is my first ever reply on any website – not a practice of mine, but I had to find a way to ask if you could, if you would Please put a video of Ade and Melissa’s performance of Tyce’s Breast Cancer dance? They were absolutely Amazingly beautiful! I’d never realize a dance could actually bring tears – to my eyes and even that of others. It was so moving that they actually moved me to do a comment, and that’s a WOW also!!!
Tyce, Ade and Melissa — you guys were Spectular!!!
Video please – thank you
I thoroughly enjoy the show, especially this season which has turned out to be the best.
The only discordant note is Mia Michaels.
You absolutely took my breath away with Melissa and Ade’s performance of Tyce’’s tribute to breast cancer. Today is what would have been my daughter’s 24th birthday. We lost her to cancer at the age of 19. This dance was so emotionally charged, I could not stop crying. I thought how beautiful a message. I know that my Jessyca watched this with me and was as moved as I was. Thank you Tyce for such a moving piece.
I thoroughly enjoy the fabulous dancing of the entire group.
It is almost impossible to chose as they are all just wonderful.
Mia Michaels leaves me with an uncomfortable feeling in not knowing what unbalanced comments is forthcoming from her.
Other than that I believe this show is one of the best on the air.
Lou
I’m a huge fan of Ellen D. but what was she doing on the panel??? She seemed so uncomfortable and it was a distraction. Keep it real, keep it pro. Tonight started slow but the last few dances were off the charts.
Tyce – gorgeous piece, as everyone has and will continue to say for a LONG time!
I would like to make a suggestion, and hope it might get seen…I would LOVE to see Mia, Tyce or Travis choreograph to the song “Falling Slowly” (Glen Hansard – and Kris Allen did it, too). It is a gorgeous song/story and I think one of them could portray that so beautifully. PLEASE!!!
Yes, my heart was heavy, yet lightened with the breast cancer survivor dance. My breast cancer survivor sisters and I were moved to tears, as were all of the judges and the creator.
If we could dance our emotions through diagnosis and treatment, we would dance as there is no tomorrow, but live each day as it presents a panoply of surprises. The trust and honesty and optimism danced by Melissa and Ade was our story. My heart is still full and the vision of beauty plays over and over on the screen that is my mind.
By coincidence, Wednesday was my day to volunteer on the Breast Cancer Helpline— where we answer the calls and questions of women who are afraid and need guidance and consolation. I hope a reprise will be available to share with my BC sisters. It is indescribable. It must be seen and experience with the heart.
Thank you for this gift!
The Cardio Funk DVD isn’t available in the store – how do I order it?
[...] So You Think You Can Dance – So You Think You Can Dance Get Fit …This is my first ever reply on any website – not a practice of mine, but I had to find a way to ask if you could, if you would Please put a video of Ade and Melissa’s performance of Tyce’s Breast Cancer dance? …Read More [...]
I wish they would make a DVD available of all the top dances from previous seasons. Bravo to Tyce. My dad just died of cancer 3 months ago, and it was very emotional for me watching that dance and the commentary.
Does anyone else think it odd that Cat puts an “it’s” in front of these dancer’s names every time she announces them???
ok sytycd what were you thinking when you put Katie to dance ya should have placed someone that could dance their bum off……….what a bloody mistake. Ramma Lamma Ding Dong fantabulous………then yuck yuck yuck Katie
Katie Holmes… too big of a star to be on the STYTCD stage? I was expecting more.
Yes, I love Ellen too. But not an effective judge.. Ellen is club dancing and my girl do GOT rhythm, but as far as I know she is not a trained dancer. This is one of the most challenging reality show on tv– especially network tv and my daughter and I throughly enjoy and look forward to comparing notes. While Mia’s style is not quite what I always enjoy, she is an awesome choreographer. I am happy that there is an non-profit effort to bring dance to more young kids. I know the benefit this can bring to building confidence, work ethic and JOY to kids in our communities, rather than them turning to self-destructive ways of expression. I could keep gushing, so keep up the good work. This is my favorite show on TV! Love YA! j in NY
I hope they never do a piece like this again. cancer is a horrible thing. Melissa and Ade are lucky to have gotten such a beautiful piece. They really should have been in the bottom two. people seem to have been blind side by the emotion of the dance. they really didnt dance very well. and two better dancers had to go home
Last night’s performance of Tyce’s breast cancer routine was extremely moving. That will be hard to compare anything to any more.
As far as the result show tonight, I am floored that Jeanette was voted off and Nigel was right….American got it WRONG!
I liked Ellen 2. Maybe 2 many jokes, but a fun celebrity every so often can B nice.
I disagree, Melissa & Ade did a fantastic job! Maybe U should’ve just voted more.
Janette is a good latin-dancer but her solos have gotten a bit repetitive. I really did like her but 2 me she just had run her course. N
I don’t typically write on blogs but did not want to miss the opportunity to say thank you to Tyce, Melissa and Ade for their generosity of heart, soul and spirit in this phenomenal performance. I have had many encounters with people who have had cancer, my father twice, my uncles, my aunt who has just completed her treatment, a great friend fighting and winning her breast cancer battle at age 39 and most recently my mom who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 1 month ago. I have moved from CA to NY to be with her and I am so grateful for the blessing to be able to spend this time with her and help her continue her fight and have hope through this journey. Watching the beautiful portrayal on stage brought out many emotions for me and gratitude and reminded me what is important. I was also reminded the importance of expression through art and that in my life as in many others expression though music, dance, art is a way to lift others up and send a message and share your spirit and soul. Thank you again for your generosity!
I am so upset that Janette was eliminated. This show intends to encourage an emotional connection to its contenders and then pays little attention to the intended devotion to their dancers. I called exactly 10 times trying to vote for Janette, but the line rang busy. They do not have enough lines to accommodate the volume of calls and therefore their results are inaccurate. When Nigel says, “American got it wrong,” I am insulted, because I tried to cast my vote, but was not allowed. I am wary of watching this show in the devoted manner that I have for the past 2 years if they are not going to invest in the true intention of their viewing audience.
Sad to see the best dancer of the season voted out: Jeanette. Sad to see the production of the show let the breast cancer routine compete in an elimination show. Come on guys, this is a “for sure vote”. In this case people voted for the good cause that it is the fight against breast cancer, not for the real talent of the competitors. Maybe something to think about for future seasons. Also, I strongly believe the American public should not decide on who stays and who goes. It’s OK to use the public vote to find who the button 2 dancers are but it should be the judges deciding and saying the last word. Very, very disappointed about today’s results
Where can we find the complete season 1-4 DVD. Kupono is beautiful. He should become a super model as well. Melissa and Ade performed with perfection. i get chills just thinking about the power of this emotional dance. Tyce is a genius. Maxwell song completed everything.
I am not one to leave comments in this fashion, but I just had to. I have been a fan since season 1. I love the show, but do not believe for one minute that this season is the best. I’ve definitely seen better dancers in previous seasons. Blake, Destiny, Dimitri, Pasha, Hawk, Twitch, Nick, Danny, Sabra, Dominick, and I could just go on & on…. I think last night should’ve been a 2 hour show since it was their 100th episode, and I think there should’ve been more dancers/performances featuring previous seasons’ dancers. What ever happened to the winners from past seasons? I am just not that impressed with this season so much so over seasons past. But I will definitely continue to watch!!
LOVE Janette, it was SO sad to see her go! Janette’s solos had NOT gotten repetitive, she’s only had 2 – 1 was salsa, and this last piece was more contemporary, which I actually think is what put her where she was. Her fans wanted salsa. I definitely think America got it wrong, but I also don’t think it was America’s fault. What the judges say, good or bad affects America. For instance, slamming Evan’s appearance pissed America off so Evan was safe. Also, the emotional breast cancer piece and the war piece. Definitely not America’s fault, but so so sad to see Janette go. It was Jason’s time, so not so sad about that.
My suggestion is actually for the Get Fit DVD’s. It would be nice if we could buy downloads. The technology exists!!!
Well, it seems we all have different opinions!
I liked Janette a lot, and she had lots of talent, but I prefer Kayla and Jeanine, for whatever reason. I love Melissa, too, but not as much.
As for the guys, I really wanted Jason to stay and Ade to go. I know Ade’s got ability and strength, but Jason’s grace and finesse just appealed to me. I also love Evan, but his height (sorry, I’m a shortie, too) and his facial expressions tend to limit him.
I almost let myself get angry about Jason’s being booted, but reminded myself that they’re ALL good, and not everyone shares my preferences!
Can’t wait to watch next week!
I think the title of the show should now be
“So You Think You Can Choreograph.”
The dancers this season are amazing!!! And its not fair that they are getting eliminated for badly choreographed routines.
I was only a little sad to see Janette go. While I don’t think she was the best dancer of the show, she seemed to have the best attitude and seemed like she would be fun to work with and she still beats Jeanine and (hands down) Melissa. If Melissa and Ade hadn’t done that touching routine (I was in tears and I’m not close to anyone that has breast cancer), I believe they would’ve been voted off for sure- that routine saved them for this week for sure. I still think Kayla is by far the greatest dancer and unfortunately for her, the judges are heaping praises on her every week, causing America to vote for the underdog of the competition- not the best dancer! While she doesn’t have much of a personality (which is huge, i agree), you can tell she gives it her all on stage. And whichever guy she was paired with seemed to do the best that week than they had the whole season. And you have to give her props for sucking it up every week in the bottom two and not taking it personally. Judges (if you even read these comments at all), please stop heaping praise on Kayla and let her win already!
I thought the show was just as Nigel said, very very slow then it took off. Ellen added to the show for me but Mia Michaels took away. Her comments go from one extreme to another and her criticism while warranted is delivered in a mean spirited way.
I love Mary!!! Whooohoooo!!! and Nigel – English Muffin!!! lol
The 100th episode felt like a regular episode. What was so special about it, the cake? They showcased those same dances in previous season. There were so many other dances from previous seasons that were excluded and none with Benji, Sabra, and Joshua. What about Twitch and Carrington or Twitch and Comfort for hip hop, Katie and Will, Katie and Joshua and so on. It was pretty flat for me.
I missed the first season, I would love to purchase it, do you guys sell the seasons on DVD?
I come from China, I like this program This program shows all I have seen the dance, I fell in love with falling in love with SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE
This year seems to be the hardest to just pick one dancer. They all have so much talent! Since they have been competing mostly as couples, I wish that they could one boy and one girl. I loved Ade and Melissa’s dance. It was a moving combination of great choreography and beautiful dancing.
Every week the judges tell Kayla that she has performed with perfection. How insulting to say that between Janette and Kayla, America got it wrong!? Kayla pours everything into her dancing and deserves better than that – imagine hearing the judges tell the other dancer that you should not have been the one chosen by America! How yuk is that! Seems hypocritical as Kayla has repeatedly been told her performance was flawless.
not to be rude in any way, but i think that if melissa and ade’s dance didn’t have that story behind it, it wouldn’t have been that great. i think it was kind of overrated however it is great when dance brings such emotion to people. the katie holmes dance was weird…and i can’t wait to order my dance fit dvd’s. GO EVAN!!! (the only dancer left who hasn’t been in the bottom at all!)
To EVERYONE Involved with SYTYCD: THANK YOU for the pleasure you have provided. Rarely do I watch reality shows or much TV as I quickly get bored, but I’ve been hooked the last 4 seasons. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the enthusiasm that everyone, especially the dancers, has on SYTYCD–from Cat to Mary to Nigel to the dancers to the choreographers to the costumer designers (sorry if I missed someone).
In this era of spoiled young people, the “I want it now” attitude, these young creative people are SUCH a pleasure to watch. They work SO hard, as they are so passionate about dance. I’m enjoying dance genres I never cared for before, including street-type dance. Mia can be brutally honest, but she does seem to pull every last iota of effort from the dancers, so that they become the very best they can be, possibly pushing themselves to levels of performance that they never thought they had.
Rarely these days does TV take the high road of professionalism that a family can watch–and this show does! Thank you for keeping any off-screen drama off the air. Good decision. It appears that everyone gets along, and even if they don’t, it would take away from the dance if you showed it on air. The catty drama is the reason I don’t watch other reality TV shows.
One low note: Although I like her, Ellen D. did not enhance the judging–it lacked credibility to an otherwise very credible judging staff. It was obvious she didn’t know what to say so she babbled a bit too long–and it wasn’t even funny.
Tyce’s cancer piece was beautiful, as was the dancing by Melissa and Ade. What a pleasure to see a classical ballerina dance other genres. Congrats to ALL the dancers this season. Whoever wins, they are all beautiful dancers in their own right. This show seems to bring out the best in them.
Why does this show instis on having a giant for a host. Most dancers ar short she has to be 5′10″ + . She has trouble saying 8. It’s not tate. This show is cool and I would watch it more with my wife but please get rid of the host@!!!@!Q!
somebody should sew mary’s mouth shut or give her a dictionary anything to keep her quite I understand she loves dance but give me a break. LIL C should help her out with the usage of the human language. This is coming from a guys point of view my girlfriend loves the show but I’d have to say thank god for the mute button. Please someone at fox take a damn poll or test session whatever you do I promise you would gain the respect of many men around the world please shut her up.
Kayla is perfection. She is who I predict will win the show. In a summer that is the saddest of my life, seeing this country fall apart, the one bright spot is this show. These dancers represent the best of America. Thank you to each dancer for lifting the spirits of 20 million Americans.
I think Kayla is fabulous, but we really need to see her do hip hop on the Wed. show next week!! She has never done hip hop, and it is not fair if everyone else has done it, but she has not. We need to see the contestants do all genres of dance!!
My choice is Evan……..although this year has been the absolute best ever. Each week it was very hard to see any of them leave. Someone had to but I really do not think I could have been one to make a choice.
I like Evan because he does remind me of Gene Kelly (who I have since heard was his favorite dancer……and mine too). There are so many dancers…….really good dancers but they are more into the lyrical(?) or Hip Hop……and I think the good old fashion BroadWay Dancer is really good to see again! Makes no difference if he wins or not……….he will still be a winner. I’m sure we will see a lot of him but…….he’s got my vote!
Good luck Evan!
Thank you for a wonderful program that has only gotten better over the seasons that I have watched it “mature” on American television. It is the ONLY, so called, reality programming I will allow invade my living space. Or shall I say, the only real, reality T.V. show IMHP……now that is out of the way, some of the previous posts (pro & con) have valid points, BUT, you know the old saw about opinions
being like certain body parts, ahem. Welllll, all I want to contribute is a point that has been missed by all. The ABUSE. Yes, abuse. Hey there everybody in Televisionland, do you have any clue how physically and emotionally demanding it is to spend dedicating most of your lifetime to the DISCIPLINE and hours of practice it takes to reach the level of skill (talent not withstanding) to just get to the Vegas cut ??? The injuries?? CAN YOU SAY SPRAIN ? How about tape it up and keep on dancing, huh? As a former dance wannabe, I damaged most of the major joints of my body and did not know it until later in life after a full body bone scan. All those years I just “walked it off” or put ice on it and never told my parents ‘cuz I was afraid they would make me stop doing something I LOVED to do. And still and brought to tears every time I watch someone else do it as well as the dancers on SYTYCD. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!! NO MATTER WHO GETS THE VOTES, THEY ARE ALL WINNERS.
I love this show…but what last thursday’s show CONFIRMED, is that this season is nowhere close to last year. I think these dancers are good technically, but lack the emotion of last year’s dancers. Just seeing the Tango from last year’s season reminded me of that. Also, the choreography is just not as good. I can’t figure out why. Its cerntainly not a quality issue..I love all of them. But, maybe there are too few choreographers. It seems like we see the same choreographers every week and several times per show…its asking too much from each choreographer. I think there have been too few GREAT pieces like the one about breast cancer 2 weeks ago.
Does Cat have to maul every contestant? It is unprofessional, disrespectful and annoying when it happens constantly. These are not grade schoolers. Hands off.
Don’t mess with Cat Deeley. She is the best host on TV and I love her!
My pick this year is Kayla. Go White Lightning! I love Brandon also, but Kayla’s passion and talent for dance is just so powerful.
P.S. Why is Evan still on the show? I like him, but come on America.
Can anyone tell me the Name/Artist/Album of the shows theme music? Checked online but all I can find is music accompaning the dance routines for different seasons. Nothing relating to the theme music itself.
I love the show and the dancers. All of it.
Everyone’s talking about the cancer dance, and I think we’d all agree that there have been some phenomenal dances this season! Fox has connections to **iTunes**, which is obvious because of American Idol. If Fox sold every dance as a music video on iTunes, they would make $MILLIONS$. And basically, I would be extreeeemely happy because I want to have these dances in good quality! They deserve to live on, just as much as (ahem, moreso than…) a song by a lousy top 20 American Idol contestant.
This has been a fabulous season for all the dancers. I believe each season reflects dancers with differnet abilities. This season reflected the technical world of dance and required each dancer to look far beyond technique and find the inner essence. Out of all the dancers, I by far think BRANDON should win. He has a strong ability to take choreography and make it his own. He looks like he lives and breathes dance. He’s a wonderful vessel to use to get a message across to an audience. While I commend all the other dancer’s and kudo’s to Ade, my winner is BRANDON and I’m looking forward to seeing him on tour.
Jeanine,
You have 3 generations of Cuban woman voting for you. My mom(72), me(48) and my daughter(28). You are a force to be wreckended with. You are a beautiful, strong, talented dancer. We are all dying to know if by any chance you are Cuban?. You have all our votes………………
Your Fan,
To heck with “get fit” stuff! I want to know when DVD’s of each season will be available. I mean come on! Once is just not enough for more than just the judges finale favorites. Package it right, and it could benefit Dizzy Feet.
I’m sooooooo glad Jeanine won!!!!!!!!! But seriously what is with these dvds? I want a dvd of the SEASONS!!!!!!! GO JEANINE!!!!
Congratulations Jeanine and Brandon for being the final two!
All four finalists were different in their personality and style. It was a close call because they were so talented and capable of learning even more. Many viewers are expressing disappointment and anger that either Kayla or Brandon was not the winner, believing that they were better dancers.
Everyone please take a moment to reflect on what Brandon said on the show which I believe translated into his loss of first place. Brandon was consistently shy and expressed disbelief that he was even chosen for the top 20! The judges recognized his negative attitude and self-doubt and tried to uplift him on one of the shows, telling him that he is a gifted dancer; he replied that he just couldn’t see himself that way. This is the absolute reason Brandon did not go on to win!
Brandon may have been more talented than Jeanine but only by a small measure, primarily due to his physical strength and gymnastic ability. Beyond that there must be a belief in one’s self! Brandon did not believe he could, moreover that he SHOULD win. Brandon always responded to praise in a shy, negative way to the very end. He is not only a talented dancer but a very cute and loveable person, so I hope this is a lesson for him to take into the future.
The winner Jeanine showed amazing technical skill; she held her own against ALL of her partners in every show and was only ever critiqued to improve in one dance. Even then Mary came back after a break and said, hey, I didn’t mean to take away from your amazing performance; you were fantastic!! It was pointed out that Jeanine forced everyone else to improve because she was so capable and able to compete at every level on every style. Jeanine never played the audience; her timing was perfect; her energy and confidence was 100% evident in every show. There was never a moment of doubt in her face or her performance; only happiness and gratitude that she was so well-liked, and she didn’t reject the praise. Jeanine worked very hard in the competition to WIN! And she did! So let her enjoy it.
Although Kayla was exquisite and the judges raved about her every week, her energy and talent were more subdued, leaving the audience with a question about choosing the winner. She is positively gorgeous and her dance style carries so much grace and perfection in her lines; she could have won but she would have had to change her soft personality and style to become more energized and outgoing. Regardless, she is a winner in the top four and everyone witnessed her talent and beauty.
Evan has a very subdued personality but is surprisingly articulate. I believe this trait was reflected in his dancing. He was so smooth it seemed at times he wasn’t putting as much energy into his dance as the others. This was not the case – he only made it appear that way. He of all the dancers had to cope with the most criticism. It became painful for the audience and that is why they tried to lift him up in their votes. This does not take away from his true ability. He is a graceful, technical dancer – but sadly, one moment he was praised for being smooth like Fred Astaire and next he was told he didn’t bring enough anger and energy to the routine. When he did the fight routine with Brandon he was excellent but was criticized AGAIN because the judges had a preconception of him and THEY couldn’t see him as being “bad.” Every single dance – he was never as good as his partner …. How sad he had to go through that week after week and yet he showed enormous grace in accepting the criticism. I hope in retrospect the judges will realize they were too hard on Evan and he did deserve more credit for adapting to different styles and for expressing more energy and personality each and every week.
Ade – I think he expected to be in the final four. I was disappointed that he wasn’t but all of the top six dancers were phenomenal… He has such a happy personality, calm presence, and smooth dance style that at times Ade didn’t seem as invested in winning. He is a bigger guy and his strength allowed him to be that much more graceful; thus, at times he didn’t appear as energetic or talented. Perhaps his ability to perfect a style was slightly off on a couple occasions. He is someone I really enjoyed watching and would like to see him dance again.
So much of this show is a roll of the dice…depending on choreographer and routine the dancers are given. In order for the audience to have a fair comparison, I think the judges should review and approve each routine first to make sure they are all on the same level. It is obvious the audience is always drawn to strongly energized routines and catchy themes. For example, Jeanine could have been sent home after that Russian folk dance since other couples had far more exciting routines.
I will continue to watch the show because I realize that in the end it IS a contest of talent combined with personality and positive energy and confidence. You must have the whole package to win. For those of you whining about not watching the show anymore because your favorite didn’t win – how about if you let Jeanine have her day as a winner and stop being a poor sport!! You are actually the ones who are trying to vote on popularity and failed to see why Jeanine won…there are no wrong winners or accidental winners! Jeanine won fair and square!! She earned all the way! Way to go Jeanine!
Phill,
Please leave Cat alone, she is amazing just as she is and the show wouldn’t be half as good without her. She is fun with all the dancers and I love her. I’ll bet the dancers all love that she hugs them after their dances.
Marty, it is so refreshing to have someone talk respectfully and sensibly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I did not perceive Brandon to be so negative about himself, but you may be right about that.
I agree that all top six (and many others) were brilliant. About Brandon, even though I was amazed by his physical ability, the sentiment that others brought to the dance (i.e., the acting) made it much more enjoyable for me. That’s why I loved the way Evan and Janette danced, to name a few.
Anyway, I liked the whole season (it was my first time watching the show). I am impressed how the choreographers manage to tell appealing stories in just over a minute, and how the dancers learn so many routines so quickly and perform them so well. Really!
Let’s see what next season brings! In the meantime, next week I am traveling to New York so I will go and see a couple Broadway musicals!
Going Deaf,Leave Mary alone, yes she is loud but she is so much fun! Maybe it’s because I’m a girl and can get loud too, but she adds so much to the show.
Has anyone else noticed Adam Shankmans rudeness to Cat? I’ve noticed it happening over a couple of seasons, he doesn’t seem to like her at all.
[...] last couple days. But never fear, I’ll get back into the groove tomorrow, starting with my So You Think You Can Dance Get Fit Cardio Funk DVD! (More on these spectacular workouts to come). They also have "Tone and [...]
I have been watching this show since season 2. Didn’t know about it for season 1.
I really really really wish they would release dvds of each season. I have taped the shows and love watching the dances over and over. someone mentioned a way to make money for dizzy feet. Brilliant.
I do believe this season stood out because there really wasn’t one dancer to stand out above the others. A very close competition. That is not to say I think past seasons are less spectacular. There have been some awesome performances, brilliant dancers, and I love watching the ones who do not have the training show us what they are capabable of.
I hope by having season 6 during fall line up doesn’t mean we will be seeing less. I hope they don’t have to scrimp and leave things out due to time constraints. the show has been brilliant as is and would hate to see that formula change.
Thanks for bringing dance into our lives.
I have watched since the first season with my daughter and I still say that the 2nd season dancers have been the best with Benji, Heidi, Travis, Danielle, etc. There has been great dances over the rest of the seasons but 2nd season so far for me has by far been the best. Best dancers best routines the whole season was amazing. My daughter and I have gotten tickets for 3 years to see the Live Tour the first year with Benji the winner we seen them in Rochester and got great seats and ordered them 2 weeks before the show and she got autographs and hugs from them all outside after the show and it made her 13th birthday very special and the next year it took the world by storm and the seats were so far away and same again the next year. We travelled from Canada to see them with friends. I just want to say keep up the great work and now I watch So You Think You Can Dance Canada too, and we have amazing dancers too that I can’t even get tickets in Toronto for their tour as they are sold out so fast.
I love the new fitness dvd’s! Really wish that each season was available to purchase and that there was a music cd put out that contained all the music used for that season. I also saw the awsome pictures that were on facebook that were taken of the show on tour which was just FABULOUS!!!!!! I cried all through it!
The dances were just awsome! I could really relate to them! This year is already off the HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
Love these DVD’s please make more! Especially love the way Travis does his choreography. I take hip hop class and I have counts! it’s nice to have a different way to remember and it has helped me sooo much with learning new choreography. Thanks Travis!
All the dancers/choreographers are great though. I just want more! Please make some more of these DVD’s and what do we have to do to get you to make some DVD’s of the routines that were on the show! My DVR is full! I can’t save them any longer!
Anyway you are all fantastic and keep going please and anything we can do to keep you all going let us know!
Cheers,
Jake
