Commenter Kira found this video of the President pulling/licking his lips while talking about the CIA. “I almost never see him do this when speaking so it isn’t an everyday basic thing for him,” she writes.

Is President Obama just parched? Or are his mannerisms trying to convey something?

    The pulling thing almost seems like he might be nervous or something along those lines. Like chewing on your lip, I guess, but here it’s both at once. I’m not sure, of course, but I think I do the same thing when I’m nervous.

    lips elongated, slight up and in wiht the brows

    Could he be reminding himself to “bite his tongue” and not speak about his true anger or frustraion? I know I do that when I have to stop myself from saying something I’ll regret.

    When says “CIA Officers”, he blinks twice as much, then when he talks about ANYTHING else!. I love this show!

    The video was not available for me to watch. Regardless I will note that if he licked his lips he was anxious.
    I would love to see an episode where someone pulls their lips or smiles the whole time they lie.

    Pelosi denying knowledge off the CIA using waterboard techniques, and claiming the CIA “misled” congress. I notice she smiles a lot, with raised eyebrows…what does that mean?
