It's pronounced JOCK-uh-moe. He's originally a New Yorker whose family opened an Italian restaurant in Dallas ten years ago. Being the son of a restauranteur allowed him to start at the bottom washing dishes and work his way up to the kitchen. Naturally, he's most comfortable with Italian food and worries about learning other culinary styles. He watched every episode of season one and figured he knew exactly what it took to succeed. But being in Hell's Kitchen is a lot different than watching Hell's Kitchen.
