The groundbreaking series AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK returns for a 22nd season of remarkable television and public service. With 1,000 criminal captures to date, AMW has done more than entertain and inform: it has changed the landscape of American law enforcement. Lauded by viewers, critics and law-enforcement organizations nationwide and commended by Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, this empowering hour has quite literally changed the lives of thousands of victims and perpetrators of crime.

Leading the charge is host JOHN WALSH, a nationally recognized advocate of victims' rights and a tireless voice on behalf of missing and exploited children. As a direct result of the extraordinary partnership between AMW and its viewers, AMERICA'S MOST WANTED has helped to capture 1,000 criminals, including 17 from the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list. One of Walsh's proudest achievements: the show has also reunited 43 missing children with their families. Among these triumphs was the miraculous recovery of kidnapped teen Elizabeth Smart, which resulted from AMW viewer tips. In addition, Walsh teamed up with Elizabeth's father, Ed Smart, to support the "Amber Alert" bill, which put a national spotlight on the need for a nationwide missing-child alert.

The George W. Bush administration has invited AMW to do shows from the White House and profile wanted terrorists on two occasions. In 2003, Walsh joined President Bush in a Rose Garden ceremony at the White House as the PROTECT Act of 2003, which expanded the use of Amber Alerts, was signed into law. AMW again broadcast from the White House on July 29, 2006, two days after another Rose Garden ceremony at which President Bush signed into law the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.
